Registration itself now runs indefinitely rather than expiring on a fixed date, maintained instead through periodic revalidation.

These obligations attach to whichever company performs the paid road transport. Where a mover subcontracts the trucking, the carrier’s own RNTRC registration, insurance and vehicle records cover the transport it performs, and the mover should use carriers that hold them.

On the consumer side, Brazil’s general Consumer Protection Code applies, backed by a free federal complaint platform that gives consumers direct recourse against a registered company without needing to go through a lawyer or the courts.
