Know the Rules for Your Move in Denmark
The standard EU licensing framework, split by vehicle weight, for companies operating goods vehicles.
Before you rely on this
Denmark licenses road goods transport through the Danish Road Traffic Authority, under the Road Haulage Act (Godskørselsloven). Two distinct licence types apply to the company operating the vehicles, depending on vehicle weight: a Community Licence (Fællesskabstilladelse) for trucks and combinations over 3.5 tonnes, covering both Denmark and the EU, and a separate van licence for vehicles between 2 and 3.5 tonnes, covering domestic transport only.
