Know the Rules for Your Move in Belgium
The standard EU licensing framework, held by the company that operates the vehicles.
Before you rely on this
Belgium licenses road haulage under the same EU Regulation 1071/2009 framework used across the EU. The transport licence (vervoervergunning/licence de transport) is issued by the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport (FOD Mobiliteit en Vervoer / SPF Mobilité), under the Belgian Law of 15 July 2013 on road transport, to the company operating the vehicles. Where a mover subcontracts the transport, the licence is held by the carrier performing it. Always confirm current requirements directly before hiring a mover.
