Know the Rules for Your Move in Bahrain
A single national system: the business registration and the transport licence are both issued through the same online portal, with separate documents required for each vehicle and driver.
Before you rely on this
Bahrain licenses commercial goods transport nationally. A business registers its activities through the Sijilat Commercial Registration portal of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC), and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT), Land Transport Affairs, issues the goods-transport licence through the same portal to the company operating the vehicles. Each vehicle also needs an MTT operating card, Traffic registration, insurance and, where required, a current technical inspection. Where a mover subcontracts the transport, these are held by the carrier performing it. Always confirm current requirements directly before hiring a mover.
